Here are some examples and how to categorize them in your accounting software:
📝 Registration Fees: Categorize these under “Professional Development Expenses” or “Education Expenses.”
✈️ Travel Costs: This includes airfare, lodging, and transportation. Categorize them under “Travel Expenses.”
🍔 Meals: If you’re dining out during the conference, these can be categorized under “Meals & Entertainment Expenses”, or if you’ve traveled for the conference, throw them under “Travel Expenses: Meals.”
🛍️ Materials Purchased: Any props, books, or equipment bought at the conference can be categorized under “Supplies Expenses.”
